About the Group

As you can see, this group is dedicated to the anime Kanon, especially Kanon 2006, the newer version. Well... the requirement that you have to be a member of Minitokyo for 21 days but it was the founder who set that up not me and, i think that's the only one! In fact, it's ok if you haven't watched Kanon but it is better to have watched it so that you know what we are talking about. ^^

Rules

Well... like all other groups, we have our own sets of rules. Don't worry though, they are very easy to follow. ^^ Ok, here they are:
1) Submit all your new submissions into the guestbook. Of course, it can be anything. It doesn't have to relate to Kanon but it is best if it is Kanon related. Below is the code you need to use when submitting your artwork into the guestbook.

2) For any artwork relating to Kanon, whether they are vectors, scan, or wallpapers, please put a Kanon banner somewhere on it to advertise the group. But since we do not yet have banners, please put in our group banner as seen on the left side of the site. Here is the link:

3) Please do not swear or mention inappropriate subjects or else we will have to remove you from our group for bad behaviour.

4) You don't have to do this, but it would be very nice if you could put this in your signature.

5) When you join, please post in the guestbook and tell us who your favourite character in Kanon is.

Latest Happenings of the Group

[Update: 13th September] Hi everyone! Sorry i have been busy with school and stuff and didn't exactly get to add any more updates to the group... the bad thing is... i have to study during this upcoming holidays coz i have the yearly exams and the School Certificate!!! So you guys might have to wait awhile for conests to start... anyway, i WILL add more characters to the profile soon... so just keep visiting the group! ^^ syeung321

Main Characters

Yuichi Aizawa

Yuichi is the main protagonist of the anime. He is friendly and outgoing, and though as nice as of a person he is, he has yet to learn the sensitivity of women. He constantly teases the main cast of girls throughout the story which varies in severity depending on the girl. He used to visit the city in which the story takes place, but his memories of those times have disappeared, slowly coming back to him as he interacts with the people he met in the past.

Nayuki Minase

Nayuki is Yuichi's cousin, with whom he moves in with at the beginning of the story. She has always been in love with him and as a result, she must learn how to deal with these feelings, especially with the threat that he may like one of the other girls. She loves strawberry sundaes, but with even just a mention of her mother's "special" homemade jam makes her sick. As seen in the picture above, Nayuki is a heavy sleeper, which led her to use and collect dozens of alarm clocks though they do not even stir her. Nayuki is an animal-lover and never misses an opportunity to try to pet one, even wild animals, such as cats, dogs, or even the occasional fox if she can help it. Unfortunately for her, she is allergic to cats. Nayuki's catch phrase is "nyuu", which she usually mutters while she is still half asleep.

Ayu Tsukimiya

Ayu is a short girl that literally ran into into Yuichi early in the story. She is recognizable by her winged backpack, red headband. As seen from the picture above, Ayu is seen eating taiyaki, her favourite food. Yuichi and Ayu become friends soon after she meets him several more times in the shopping district, though the truth is that they first met and became friends during Yuichi's last stay in the city seven years ago. The main point in her storyline is that Ayu is searching for something she has lost, and even she does not know what it is. Yuichi plays an active role by helping her try to find whatever it is, though is initially unsuccessful. Ayu is notorious for her catch phrase, "Uguu!" which she mutters whenever she is frustrated, angry, or afraid.

Makoto Sawatari

Makoto is a young girl who attacked Yuichi Aizawa suddenly in the shopping district then fainted right in front of him from hunger. She was then carried back to Yuichi and Nayuki Minase's house, where she lived as a guest for the remainder of her arc. Despite having lost her memories, she remembered what her name was and that she holds a grudge against Yuichi from the past when he visited the city seven years ago. Makoto can be pretty clueless about things that people her age should know, such as the fact that she can buy her own meat buns which is her favourite food, and manga. Like Ayu and Nayuki, she too has her own catch phrase, "Auu" which she says when she is frustrated or sad.

Mai Kawasumi

Mai is a mysterious and quiet third year student of the the high school that Yuichi now goes to. He meets her (but not for the first time) standing alone in the school corridor wielding a sword. She takes it upon herself to fight and defeat demons that haunt the school at night while the school is deserted and as a result, often breaks school properties, mostly windows. She is always being blamed for the accidents because she never denies them and says nothing, knowing that no one will believe that there are demons. Her favourite food is beef bowls and her most well-known feature is her coldness as well as being oblivious to other people's feelings though it is most likely developed from having little friends and no social life whatsoever.

Shiori Misaka

Shiori is a first-year student who is suffering from an illness since birth. Because of her illness, she has become very weak, and has been absent from school since the first day of term because of it. What is strange though, is that while she is sick enough not to go to school, Shiori is well enough to sit outside the school for hours on end while eating ice cream (which is her favourite food) in the middle of winter. Because of her illness, she carries around an dozens of different pills and drugs for her many ailments. Shiori is the only heroine in Kanon whom Yuichi did not meet in the past.
